Black History Week

For Black History week 2018 students designed African masks, discovered patterns in beautiful African fabrics and examined the different flags of Africa and the Caribbean.  Our assemblies focused on Inspirational people who ‘changed the world’, Jamaican folk stories, African American negro spirituals and African drumming. We ended this wonderful week with an International Day which included an exhibition that highlighted the unique talents of our students and a carnival which proudly celebrated the diversity of our school.

The school is truly ‘outstanding’ indeed and we don’t mean just in the sense of how Ofsted have classified it.
