Mental Wealth Conference

Following the success of our Engaging Children with Complex Needs Conference in June, we were delighted to welcome delegates to our Mental Wealth Conference on Friday 16th October.

The day kicked off with a keynote speech from Professor Barry Carpenter about creating mental wealth focusing on policy, pedagogy and practice. Following this, delegates broke off in to two group workshops: ‘Girls with ASD’ and ‘Mental Wealth Journals’. Alongside Professor Barry Carpenter we were honoured to welcome back Jo Egerton and Bev Cockbill who had also spoken at our conference in June.

The day was opened up an array of discussion points and lessons to take forward, intriguing and educating everyone in attendance. Feedback has been outstanding so we look forward to planning our next conference.

The school is truly ‘outstanding’ indeed and we don’t mean just in the sense of how Ofsted have classified it.
