My Voice Matters Art Exhibition and Auction

By Fiona Wilkins - June 25th, 2026 | Posted in Article

We are delighted to launch our “My Voice Matters” Art Exhibition; a celebration of the incredible creativity and achievements of our young people across both our Kingston and Chaucer Centre sites.

This art project has been running since September 2025 and has given every student across both school sites the opportunity to independently create their own unique piece of artwork. The aim of this whole-school project was to encourage creativity and self-expression while recognising the positive impact that art can have on emotional wellbeing.

As a trauma-informed school, we wanted to participate in a collaborative project that would enable students to express themselves creatively and share their work with the wider community. Students were encouraged to explore a variety of materials, techniques, and resources based on their individual preferences, allowing each artwork to reflect their own ideas, experiences, creativity and most importantly individual voice.

Sunday 5th July at 20:00: Online Auction closes. Make your final bids before 8pm on Sunday 5th July.
As part of our Whole School Attachment Award project, we are fundraising for Friends of Bedelsford and The Victoria Foundation. Both charities have provided invaluable support to our school community.

This special exhibition celebrates our Attachment Aware Schools Award (AASA) Gold journey and our commitment to creating an art experience that recognises every child’s individual communication, sensory needs, and creative voice. Through carefully chosen materials, sensory experiences, and supportive approaches, our students have created a collection of unique artworks that capture their individuality and imagination.

This is more than a traditional school art display; every artwork in the exhibition is a unique piece available for purchase via the online auction.

Families and visitors are invited to explore the collection, place bids, and celebrate the creativity of all our young artists.

While the online auction allows everyone to view and bid on the artworks, the physical exhibition offers the opportunity to experience the true scale, detail, and impact of the collection.

Visitors will be able to see:
• Large-scale pendulum paintings created through movement and experimentation.
• Vibrant abstract paintings using a variety of sensory techniques.
• Exclusive terracotta clay pieces, available only to view and purchase in person.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us celebrate the creativity, diversity, individuality, and voices of our young artists.
