Sports Day

The whole school were supposed to be celebrating the Olympics but the celebrations were postponed due to the Coronavirus so on our Sports Day on 7th July, 6th Form created a time lapse art piece in tribute to the Olympic Rings.

All staff and pupils fully embraced the day and there were lots of activities going on around the school.

Each class took part in races and a table cricket tournament led by Mike Jacobs in the hall. Other activities included throwing target practice, water pistol target shooting, yoga, moving to music, volleyball, boccia and curling. All pupils had a picnic lunch and received a certificate at the end of the day for all of their efforts.

A big thank you to Lawrence and the 6th form staff and pupils who created a special Olympic video for us.

The school is truly ‘outstanding’ indeed and we don’t mean just in the sense of how Ofsted have classified it.
