As a mother of four, of whom the youngest is at Bedelsford, Julia takes a keen interest in the education and development of all children. Her work delivering contracts on large construction projects can be hectic but she enjoys seeing plans become reality! She is proud to be part of the Local Governing Body at Bedelsford which, in collaboration with the Principal and her staff, strives to make each pupil’s school journey rich, rewarding and fulfilling.
Tammy works in Talent and Learning at BP based in Sunbury and when she’s not at work, she really enjoys cooking for family and friends and trying to stay fit. Tammy is mum to a daughter and a son and wife to Roberto. Her daughter is a student at Bedelsford, and Tammy is very pleased to be able to contribute to such a great school like Bedelsford as a Governor.
Amit is a local resident of Surbiton and currently plies his trade as a management consultant in the city. He is a devoted family man and is excited to have joined the committed team here at Bedelsford, so that he can contribute to making Bedelsford the very best it can be.
Emmet has worked in the field of SEND for just under 20 years and was Vice Principal and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Dysart school until he joined Bedelsford School in September 2023, which is also part of Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust and is a school for young people with severe and complex learning difficulties.
With her 15 years of Swiss education and experience as Accounting, HR and Office Management Sylviane is delighted to have changed her career path and loves working with dedicated staff to make the most of every student’s ability and to reach their full potential. Sylviane feels that working with students is the most valuable rewarding enjoyable part of her professional life. Sylviane feels that her background and current role at the school bring very positive benefits for the team.
Ashley has taught and managed within SEN schools, FE and ISP sector for 30 years. He is an experienced Senior Manager within OHCAT supporting Post 16 Education for students with profound, complex and challenging learning difficulties and/or disabilities. He has also a been Governor of two schools providing good to outstanding education for Primary and Secondary children within complex needs.
Ashley is passionate about supporting young people with disabilities and works very closely with local disability sports organisations to provide opportunities for young people to access sport and has worked with Chelsea FC for over 20 years as part of their Foundation and Match Day Team.
Don is originally from the US and is a Finance Transformation leader in London. When he’s not at work he enjoys taking long walks in the Surrey Hills with family and friends as well as reading history. Don is married to a Bedelsford teacher, Amy. They have one daughter who lives in Exeter and one daughter who lives in America.
