Hydrotherapy

During each hydrotherapy session here at Bedelsford School we aim to make them as bespoke as possible tending to the individual needs of each pupil.  This may be aquatic body works, conventional swimming sessions adapted to each pupil’s way of learning. These could be physio-led hydrotherapy with individual programmes for pupils with specific physical needs.

We use different pieces of equipment to support this learning, these may be magic muscles, noodles, regular flat floats or specialist water cushions which aid support.

For some fun during or at the end of each session we even have a dingy boat that the pupils can access to give them, if they wish, a different experience on the water.

All pupils are supported by adults from their classes as well as our specialist swimming teacher, Vanessa De Souza.

The ethos in the pool is “I can”.

The school is truly ‘outstanding’ indeed and we don’t mean just in the sense of how Ofsted have classified it.
