Massage Therapy

Bedelsford School is pleased to inform you that Massage Therapy for children and young people has been added to the range of therapies we offer.  Massage Therapist Caroline Brown has joined the team and is now working at Bedelsford School every Friday.  Caroline brings with her extensive experience of providing massage therapy to children and young people with complex needs.

Massage can be used to relieve stress and anxiety, calm the nervous system and promote better sleep; it can also improve circulation, aid digestion, stretch, tone, and ease tight muscles and spasms.

Sessions will be individually tailored to meet the needs of each child and may focus on general relaxation and calming techniques as well as body awareness. They may also focus on more specific issues such as digestive problems and muscle tightness/spasms. These sessions will run on a weekly basis and be reviewed at the end of each term.

The school is truly ‘outstanding’ indeed and we don’t mean just in the sense of how Ofsted have classified it.
