WOWNOW Virtual Theatre

The theatre has come to Bedelsford! Pupils across the school have been super excited to perform in our WOWNOW virtual theatre throughout February.

The school has been working with Tim and Carmen since the autumn in a project called Much Ado About Something as part of the WOWNOW Theatre. The aim of the project is to give every pupil the chance to experience the theatre whether they are learning in the classroom or at home and make Shakespeare accessible to all our learners.

From the work carried out last term, secondary pupils in Ruby and Sapphire classes had the opportunity to perform their interpretation of what the Play Much Ado About Nothing meant to them. They took part in a Shakespeare for Schools Foundation workshop and performed on the stage at the Rose Theatre to an enthusiastic audience on 1st February.

To ensure pupils from across the school, especially those learning at home, had this opportunity the WOWNOW Theatre Club are running a programme of theatre/performance based activities throughout February including WOWNOW Theatre zoom sessions with Tim and Carmen over half term.

Look out for invites from your child’s class teacher and bring along your stars, beards and frosty faces as we continue our Much Ado About Something  learning  next half term.
